Achieving inspection of products with various shapes using a single AI! Introducing detection examples with NuLMiL.

We would like to introduce some detection cases using the visual inspection system "NuLMiL." NuLMiL is applicable for detecting defects in die-cast products. By conducting verification on images captured using industrial cameras and lighting, we have successfully detected and classified defects such as scratches and burrs. Since a single AI can be applied to inspect products of multiple shapes, easy and safe operation can be achieved. 【Challenges】 ■ We want to automate and reduce manpower for inspections currently done visually. ■ Inspection using AI is difficult for small-lot, diverse manufacturing. ■ We want to classify defects by type, such as scratches and discoloration. ■ Light reflection from the product causes false detections. 【Verification Details】 ■ Images were captured using general industrial cameras and lighting. ■ Our product was used to accommodate diverse manufacturing and defect classification. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
